Through the Underworld

A doorway opened wide to a mirror deep inside
reflecting of the mind's associations
Corridors of tunnels appeared
and through these halls I veered,
unlocking doors with keys of words and symbols.
Some doors I opened without care,
some others I simply did not dare.
I picked and chose from a wealth of information.
The corridors went deeper and the tunnels each got steeper,
and it seemed I hardly knew my mind at all.

I started meeting beings and finding ancient things
which made me think my mind was not my own.
Amongst many things was "I"
and I would surely die,
but this place I found would surely last much longer.

So through the gates of death I died
and found this realm had unified.
It did not have any inside or any out.
Freedom finally reigned just as my life I had sustained
by living as the One and as the Many.

Now the mirror shows a starry sky,
with every star a watching eye
that sees it's own reflection deep in me.
And all the things I thought my self
absorb into far greater wealth
that exists in every one and even We.
