Ivory Tower's
Once there was an ivory tower
that teetered as it gained in power
then crashed into an icy ground
and shattered with a thunderous sound
heard across the hills and valley's
no one that day could quite keep talley
of all of those who now awoke
to the ivory tower's dust and smoke
just in time to see it crumble
and many more in the distance tumble
as the sounds of voices crying
"An end to all this fear and lying!"
echoed over barren fields
to a place of swords and shields
and people fighting every day
for things they didn't know or say
but somehow here they heard the crying
they heard the moans of people dying
they saw the kings in ivory towers
who owned the land and all the powers
that the people feared each day
that made them kill and run away
from everything the kings commanded
so on this day they all disbanded
and moved away across the fields
but kept their swords and kept their shields
and found a place where people cared
and did the things they dared not dare
the people here they swore to keep
from all the evil that once was reaped
now somewhere across the barren field
they heard their old kings finally yield
and give up all this abused power
they once had held in an ivory tower
then in a thunderous crashing sound
an ivory tower hit the ground
as people freed from greedy oppression
no longer feared the kings obsessions
