DIVINE
FORGIVENESS
THE FOCUS OF THE
BISHOP'S CORNER
Because I believe this
is a part of our life through Christ that we need
to do (forgive)
(Repent) being obedient
to God our Father learning humility, just knowing
how to be humble before God, forgiving one
another and one self to better yourself in the
kingdom of God.
Who forgiveth all thine
iniquities; who healeth all thy
diseases;(Ps.103:3)
When we look at
{(Matt.6:12) And forgive us our debts, as we
forgive our debtors}.
This entire idea of the
ransom of the atonement places salvation upon a
place of unreality;
such a concept is purely
philosophic. Human salvation is real; it is based
on two realities which may grasped by the
creature's faith and thereby become incorporated
into individual human experience: the fact of the
fatherhood of God and its correlated truth, the
brotherhood of man. It is true, after all, that
you are to be forgiven your debts, even as you
forgive your debtors. (Matt 6:14) For if ye
forgive men their trespasses your heavenly Father
will also forgive you.
Now let us look
at the definition of (trespass):To commit an
offense or sin; transgress or err. (Mark
11:25) And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye
ought against any: that your Father also which is
in heaven may forgive your trespass}. Your
inability or willingness to forgive your fellows
is the measure of your immaturity, your failure
to attain adult sympathy, understanding, and
love. You hold grudges and nurse vengefulness in
direct proportion to your ignorance of the inner
nature and true longings of your children and
your fellow beings. Love is the outworking of the
divine and inner urge of life. It is founded on
understanding, nurtured by unselfish service, and
perfected in wisdom. (Luke 6:37) Judge not, and
ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall
not be condemn : forgive, and ye shall be
forgiven. It is so easy to do but we must not
point fingers at no one take that mote out of
your own eye before we judge or condemn another.
(1 John 1:9) If we confess our sins,
He(God) is faithful and just to forgive us our
sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Ancient man only
attained consciousness of favor with God through
sacrifice. Modern man must develop new techniques
of achieving the self-consciousness of salvation.
The consciousness of sin persists in the mortal
mind, but the thought patterns of salvation
therefrom have become outworn and antiquated. The
reality of spiritual need persists, but
intellectual progress has destroyed the olden
ways of securing peace and consolation for mind
and soul.
Sin must be
redefined as a deliberate disloyalty to Diety.
There are degrees of disloyalty: the partial
loyalty of indecision; the divided loyalty of
confliction; the dying loyalty of indifference;
and the death of loyalty exhibited in devotion to
godless ideals.
The sense or feeling of
guilt is the consciousness of the violation of
the mores; it is not necessarily sin. There is no
real sin in the absence of conscious disloyalty
to Deity.
The possibility of the
recognition of the sense of guilt is a badge of
transcendent distinction for mankind. It does not
mark man as mean but rather sets him apart as a
creature of potential greatness and
ever-ascending glory. Such a sense of
unworthiness is the initial stimulus that should
lead quickly and surely to those faith conquests
which translate the mortal mind to the superb
levels of moral nobility, cosmic insight, and
spiritual insight, and spiritual living; thus are
all the meanings of human existence changed from
the temporal to the eternal, and all values are
elevated from the human to the divine.
The confession of sin is
a manful repudiation of disloyalty, but it in no
wise mitigates the time-space consequences of
such disloyalty, But confession---sincere
recognition of the nature of sin---is essential
to religious growth and spiritual progress.
The forgiveness of sin
by Diety is the renewal of loyalty relations
following a period of the human consciousness of
the lapse of such relations as the consequence of
conscious re bellion. The forgiveness does not
have to be sought, only received as the
consciousness of re-establishment of loyalty
relations between the creature and the Creator.
And all the loyal sons of God are happy,
service-loving, and ever-progressive in the
Paradise ascent.
Well, Praise God, I just
want to also say; That our GOD is an all
Merciful, all Caring, and all Loving GOD; who
wants a one on one relationship with his
children, all we need to do,is, open our hearts
and let Him in , and He will free us from our
sins, so even if we do wrong and we no it God is
Faithful and Just and will forgive all we have to
do is ask, with a sincere heart and a made up
mind that we will pick up our cross and follow
after Him(JESUS).all the days of our lives,God
knows that we sometimes fall short to the glory
of God; God knows that we make mistakes God knows
that were spirit-human,but God knows that His
thoughts are higher than our thoughts and His
ways are higher than our ways, yet He still
forgives when we ask.
So let's just Trust in
the Lord with all our heart ;and lean not unto
our own understanding; and all thy ways
acknowledge Him and He shall direct our path
(Proverbs 3:5,6) AMEN.
May the Lord keep you
and richly Bless you until we meet again.
