I believe that a Planetary Commission must be established
immediately to
reverse the focus from materiality to spirituality.
Barbara Marx Hubbard was born on December 22, 1929 in New YorkCity and
attained her early education in private schools in andaround the city. In
1951, after spending her junior year at theSorbonne in Paris, she
graduated cum laude from Bryn Mawer.
As we officially entered the New Age and the AquarianVibration with our
Piscean (and other Age) baggage, all hell brokeloose.
Barbara Marx Hubbard, a founding member of the
Global
FuturesNetwork, has said that "the key now to international development
is our image of the future. If we see ourselves as a universal species,
co-evolving with nature to a higher state of being, so itshall be. For as
we believe, so it is done to us. As we see ourselves, so we tend to
become."
We can see what we want to become, but we ask
ourselves -- "How in
the name of God do we get from here to there?" Well, that's exactly how we
get there. In the name of God.
Let's remember what God's name is. It is I AM
and the OMNIPOTENT I AM
is going to take us into the Promised Land IF each one of us elects to
reverse our focus and shift our minds from a concentration on materiality
to a concentration on spirituality.
Understand that when our minds are on God within, we are
actuallycontemplating an ALL SUFFICIENCY. But when our minds are focused
onthis world, on lack and limitation - whether in health, wealth or
loving
relationships - we are feeding into the collectiveconsciousness of
mankind the parent thought of INSUFFICIENCY.
And the race mind will always react accordingly. Based on the Lawof
Consciousness, it will create still more lack, more limitation,more
conditions of insufficiency. Mankind, seeing the spiralling effect of
this activity of
negative consciousness, reacts through resistance, and
resistance leads to hostility, which leads toscheming and manipulation to
get, at the expense of his brother,his neighbour, the other fellow members
of the planetary community.And this darkened consciousness can do nothing
but create evengreater conditions for confusion, conflict and chaos. And
the cyclecontinues, and on and on.
What can we do?
Where do we go from here?
After meditating on these questions over a period of
several months,
I believe that a Planetary Commission must be established immediately to
reverse the focus from materiality to spirituality. The word
"commission"
in this case simply means a group of people appointed to perform a
specific
duty. But each individual desiringto be a part of the Commission must make
a definite commitment todo so, and the "appointment" to the Commission is
automatic with the commitment. All you have to do is make a definite and
dedicatedcommitment to renew your mind, and with love in your heart,
tochoose to be a part of the healing, harmonizing influence for
the salvation of this planet.
The Commission is not like the Peace Movement, or
the AntiªNuclear
Movement, or any other kind of movement. We are not goingto protest
anything, and we're not going to resist anything. Wesimply want to consent
to let God be God! What we're really doingis volunteering to co©create
with God in the implementation of theDivine Plan, for each one of us, and
for all humanity
On December 31, 1986, men and women of Love and Light all overthe
world will
gather in spirit...
To serve as a Light Bearer on the Commission
requires no dues. There
will be
no organizational structure. There will be nomeetings. However, on
December 31, 1986, men and women of Love andLight all over the world will
gather in spirit, and in asimultaneous action at one specified time will
release so muchLove, Light and Spiritual Energy into the race mind that
thehypnotic spell for the majority of mankind will break up like
thethawing of a frozen lake in springtime. And that will be the
true beginning of the New Age!
Our objective by December 1986 is to have 5OO
million people on
earth simply consenting to a healing of this planet ...
Why December 31, 1986? Because our spiritual
research (thecommunications
coming from within and from illumined onesthroughout the physical world)
has revealed that 1987 will be theyear of the critical mass. Thus far in
our evolution, the mass ofdark energy in the race mind has been
sub©critical in that thechain reaction of negative consequences has not
been selfªsustaining. Massive prayer during certain periods of history
caused a break in the chain and prevented the critical mass. But for
themajority of people on the planet, prayer has now been replaced byeither
resistance or futility, giving the mass negative energyfield a very
satisfying diet. And as the density of the force field increases, it will
reach the point where the darkness exceeds the light, the positive balance
is lost, and the negative chainreaction goes critical - and this
self - sustaining action ispredicted for 1987.

I want to thank you for the extraordinary summit meeting we
hadtogether. I
believe it was a genuine summit. It brought people whohad not experienced
what you have all experienced. We saw thestress of converging different
perceptions of reality. I believethat we learned a great deal and I know
that it has opened thechannels of communication for the world.
I know how important your work is. I want you to know that I really feel
that and know how connected we are.
Since I have undertaken the campaign I have had to limit myexpression and
contact to that which people can understand with nofear. During the
campaign I think it would be better if you do no identify me in
your
publications or quote from me in your publications at this time.
I have been stunned at how sensitive people are to experiences andideas
that are beyond their own knowledge. I feel that the body politic is
like a
traumatized child - it needs to be approachedvery gently.
I look forward to continuing to work with you. I have asked Alfred to
keep
me posted on his work around the world.
I am considering a world option guest tour at some point to meetwith
people around the world who share this perspective. I shall bein touch
with you and meanwhile send my love and thanks.
